Describe the issue

Roon loses USB and network devices after sleep

Describe your network setup

LAN via 1Gbps

I submitted this previously and thought the issue was resolved, but on awakening my computer yesterday all USB and network Roon endpoints and DACs were vanished, again.

The firewall is configured to allow connections to RAATserver etc.

OSX version 15.3.2 on a Mac Mini M2.

Hey @Dan_Clark,

Thanks for writing in and sharing an update on your issue!

We’ve seen a few reports this week that users have experienced fixes to their Mac devices disappearing since updating to the latest macOS version, 15.4.

Could you try updating your Mac to the latest version as well and see if that potentially helps?

We’ll be monitoring for your results! :raised_hands:

OK. I will do so and be patient for a week to see if it fails. Last time it took 3-4 days.

Hi @Dan_Clark ,

Thanks for the update, let us know how it goes! You may be able to also temporarily resolve the issue by navigating to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network , and make sure Roon is allowed. If it is already enabled, toggle it off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists.

True, I’m experiencing exact the same issue. After my Mac has been asleep all my endpoints are missing.

Roon is allowed, that was in my OP.

EDIT: I did note that despite only having one instance of Roon in Applications I see two Roon and RoonAppliance in the firewall. Is that a function of having Roon seats on my LAN contacting the host, or is this indicative of a different problem?

Hi @Dan_Clark,
The multiple firewall entries for Roon shouldn’t be a problem.

Have you lost connection to your endpoints since updating your MacOS?

Connections have persisted but it’s only been a day. Last time it took 3 days of sleep cycles to lose them.
