Roon Lost Control - trying to add a new endpoint

I’ve been a Roon user for a couple of years. Nucleus, controlled by iOS and Mac devices. Trying to add a new endpoint - a FiiO S11 connected to a Burson 3C. Roon recognizes the device. But as soon as I hit the play button I get the dreaded Roon Lost Control of the device message.

Roon is working great through all other devices, hardwired (Nucleues through another Burson DAC) and WiFi/airplay (Apple HomePods, iPad, iPhone).

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this to get the FiiO to work?

I can’t seem to find the S11 online. Is it an SR11?

How is the device connected to your network? Ethernet or wifi? Roon losing control seems to generally refer to network issues.

Firmware done? (Assuming you meant SR11)

I did mean SR11. Latest firmware. Never could get it to work. Setup a Pi5 yesterday and it is working perfectly. Sending back the SR11.
