I am trying to find out how to configure M2 MAC MINI and ROON SERVER for best sound quality

I think it’s automatic for the most part. The key item is that if you have a USB-connected DAC, for instance, that you make it “exclusive mode” so that you don’t go through the system “sound mixer”. Other than that, it’s all about tailoring for the various endpoints.

If you are only running Roon Server and not using the audio output from the Mac then there’s nothing to do. If however you are connecting the Mac via TOSLINK or USB using Roon or Roon Bridge then best to follow the advice above.

I’m running only Roon Server on my M2 mini with no audio output.
