Description of Issue

When my Mac M1 Max Studio wakes up from sleep, Roon which had been loaded prior to sleep mode crashes and displays error “Quit Unexpectedly”. This behavior is in the current 2.0 - Build 1234 release and in previous 2.0 releases. This occurs every time when the Mac wakes up from sleep and Roon is loaded.

Hey @rcarp2musicmac,

Thanks for your patience while we work through each thread! Following up here, are you still running into crashes on the latest Roon build? If so, I’d be curious to see how things run on a fresh database. Steps to follow below:

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup
