I have a Roon Server running on a pretty loaded brand new M4 Mac Mini and everything with the application had been fine, but recently it sits and spins and I have to Force Close it. I Uninstalled Roon and Reinstalled, and still had this issue. At the current moment, I cannot get the Roon MacOS app to load at all.
Describe your network setup
1GB Fiber Ethernet from Modem to M4 Pro Mac Mini w/10GB Ethernet port
What do you see when you when you click “Select a different RoonServer” on this page?
Diagnostics indicate that you had a previous RoonServer instance elsewhere on this network - if this Mac was configured as a remote/controller, and not a server, then it will still be searching for the original networked RoonServer.
Alternatively, but only if you have a reliable Backup of your library to restore later, you can find and delete the RoonServer and Roon folders on this Mac before reinstalling and restoring the Backup.
So, I’ve completely deleted Roon and the Library and everything with AppCleaner and multiple times reinstalled Roon on MacOS. Then I select, “Use this Mac as Server,” and then it just sits and “spins.” What I don’t understand is that it was all working fine one day and then the next I haven’t been able to get it to load properly no matter how many times I try uninstalling and re-installing/re-setting up the server.
