Thanks so much for writing in and sharing your report!
As a first step in troubleshooting, can you please confirm all devices are running on the same local subnet within your network? If you can, please temporarily disable all but a single subnet, reboot your router and devices, and let me know if you run into the same issue.
I’d also test power cycling the SHD:
The SHD uses an internal Neo3 board for streaming. A simple standby/on often isn’t enough.
Flip the physical power switch on the back of the MiniDSP SHD.
Leave it off for 30 seconds.
Turn it back on and wait 2 minutes for the network board to fully boot before trying to play.
And lastly, test with Lower Sample Rates.
To rule out bandwidth/jitter issues:
Go to Roon > Settings > Audio.
Click the Device Setup (gears icon) for the MiniDSP SHD.
Go to Max Sample Rate and set it to 48kHz or 96kHz.
If it plays fine at 48kHz but fails at $92kHz, your network (likely the path between the NAS and the SHD) cannot handle the RAAT timing requirements for hi-res.
Hi! Thank you for your help. It worked. minidSP SHD does not support the rate beyond 96kHz, the settings in the roon were changed somehow for up to 192kHZ (maybe after the update). This was causing the described issue. Thanks you!
