Describe the issue

For the past two days, the area at the top near the bookmarks icon has that spinning circle (usually indicating addition of new music, metadata stuff, etc.) continuously spinning. I clicked and noticed to things: "1. Adding music to library: Of 10 tracks, 10 added, 0 identified" and the one which is more concerning: 2. "Metadata improver: Paused - Roon is having trouble verifying your connection with our servers, so metadata improvement has been paused. Check your internet connection and make sure that you're running the latest version of Roon." Roon is up to date on my end, my internet connection is fine, I can play music from remote devices, and even Arc is working properly.

Describe your network setup

I have Verizon Wireless internet service along with their router. I do not have any range extenders.

This is normally caused by a failure to connect to Roon HQ

Shut down everything , including the network gear and then progressively restart each component in turn modem then router etc , waiting until the component is fully started before moving on

This should fix it. You need the network and internet connection up and running before you restart the Roon Server

My overall internet connection is fine, though.

I’ll give it a try, though.

It worked.

During our summer we have massive thunderstorms so everything gets unplugged, if I am too quick restarting things I see this error

Glad you’re back up :innocent:
