Roon no longer playing on system output

Think it’s defo a VPN issue (I use PIA). I need to put Roon in the VPN split tunnel otherwise my control points (eg. Android mobile/tablet) won’t see it but then it won’t play through my PC. If I remove Roon from the split tunnel, it will play through my PC but the control points don’t see it! Any solution for both?

Official Roon support doesn’t support VPNs but if you post in the tinkering section there are loads of VPNers there who may help.
