Describe the issue

Auralic Aries Mini to Geshelli J2S via Amanero USB, DAC is unidentified. Roon will not allow for DSD Native playback. How do I correct this? Thanks.

You plug the Dac into a windows pc and run the dacs windows drivers.

On the dacs web page under specs

Optional Windows Driver Available (Needed for High Speed DSD Interface)

I would suggest calling Geshelli tech and discuss it with them.

I was emailing Geno at Geshelli about this issue. He suggested the Roon support to find a solution to the Native DSD issue.

The driver update for the Amanero USB requires opening the DAC and erasing the flash before updating. This sounds like a good way to kill a brand new DAC.

I will ask Geno about this and get back.

Should just be loaded into Windows, nothing to flash on the DAC since it is specifying a “Windows Driver”.
