Description of Issue

I am using Windows 10 on a completely updated PC with 24 GB RAM and 2.4Ghz processor with multiple cores. I am using a wireless connection because the cable cannot reach the router directly. Roon was working fine, but after not accessing Roon via the PC for many months I found recently that the Roon program stopped connecting to the Roon Nucleus. I attempted to delete all the Roon files on the computer and reinstall the latest version of Roon for Windows 10. Now I get an error message telling me that “This device is not compatible with Roon 2”

Roon Core Platform

Nucleus

Roon Core Specifications

Roon Nucleus standard, NOT the plus version. 4TB SSD hard drive. It works great when I control it via my MAC, iPhone, or iPad, But the PC will not work it.

Connected Audio Devices

The Nucleus is connected via CAT7 wire to the Netgear Nighthawk router. The Router is connected by CAT7 cable to a Lumin U1 Streamer. The Streamer is connected by XLR Digital cable to a Berkeley Reference 2 DAC with MQA. Everything works great as long as I DON’T use the PC to control it.

Home Network Details

The Roon Nucleus is connected to the previously mentioned router which is a fiber optic internet source.

Screenshot

Right click on your desktop Roon ICON, then click on Properties and see if you’re running in Compatibility mode. If you are, disable that.

Do the same for the shortcut under start menu, and the actual exe files.
