Roon not consistently finding Sonos speakers on MacAir server (ref#NC0NCE)

Describe the issue

My system had been working until a week ago. I have Roon on my MacAir as the server. I'm running a NAD M50.2 and a Sonos system. Roon usually will not find the Sonos speakers. If it does it is for a few seconds and then looses them. If it does find them and I try to play the Sonos speakers hitting the play button causes Roon to try but then the play button returns.

Describe your network setup

Running EERO 6.46.1 MacBook Air Sequoia 15.0 Sonos v16.3 NAD M50.2 BluOS controller (which isn't finding the NAD)

Hello @Patrick_Rankin ,

Thanks for reaching out with your message.

I activated diagnostics for your account and I see that you appear to have multiple subnets set up - some devices are on 192.168.4.XYZ and some devices are on 192.168.5.XYZ. For Roon to work properly, all devices need to be located on the same subnet.

This differing subnet can sometimes happen when you have two routers in your network configuration or you have configured WiFi to use one subnet and Ethernet connection to use another. I would suggest checking the router settings to see if you can edit everything to reside on one subnet.

Let us know if this helps!

Noris…

Thanks for the help. Adjusted a few settings on the router. Then had to turn off the router/extenders and anything connected. Rebooted everything slowly. Sonos began working well with Roon. Then had to get rid of the BluOS app on my phone and reinstall. Followed the instructions and the puzzle was complete…Thanks!

Hi @Patrick_Rankin,
Great! We’re glad things are working for you again. This thread will be open a few more days in case the issue returns.
