· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· I just joined Roon. Have a Meitner Ma3i, however that is not the issue. I can control it from my MacBook, however not from my iPhone 15 (not yet). We can play to the Meitner from the MacBook. We have a Tidal account with about 75 playlists, and Roon (My Tidal Collection) does not display them. We have tried to toogle on and off the show playlist in sidebar, logging out, logging in, however nothing to display our playlists from Tidal. A second separate issue - As for the iPhone issue, the roon app shows the first track we every played on the bottom of the iPhone screen and not any current song playing in tidal. the macbook and phone are not syncing

Hello @ej_jiber,
Thank you for getting back to us and providing the details.
We have analyzed the diagnostics from your Roon Server. The logs indicate that the Tidal sync completes normally and Roon considers your local database to be up to date.

Since the playlists are still not appearing, we need to narrow down whether this is a sync issue or a display filtering preference.
To help us investigate further, could you please provide the following:

  1. A screenshot of your "Playlists>" menu in Roon. Please ensure the "Source" filter is visible so we can see if Tidal is listed there.
  2. A screenshot of your Tidal library (from the Tidal app or web player) showing a few of the playlists that are currently missing in Roon.
  3. Regarding the iPhone issue: Does the iPhone app show any "Waiting for Remote Core" messages, or is it simply stuck on the old track?
In the meantime, a quick step that often resolves "invisible" playlists is to go to Settings > Services > Tidal and click the "Sync library now" button manually.

Looking forward to your reply so we can get this resolved for you.

Alex,

Thank you for your email! We resolved the issue regarding our playlist in Roon and we are enjoying the fantastic quality playback of our playlists on our Meitner streamer using Roon.

We do have a question on how figure out what the music queue in Roon. We have yet to discover how to view it on our computer or via our iPhone app or Ipad app.

We have also not found a way for Roon to search for public playlists in Tidal. For example, if I search for an artist in Tidal (their app), it will show tracks, albums, public playlists such as the name of the artist followed by “Essentials”, i.e. “Dire Straits Essentials” which is playlist someone has created and is public. We are unsuccessful finding those type of playlists or any public playlists. I tried searching for Morning coffee lounge there are no results in Roon, however the Tidal app will return results. Just wondering if that is just a limitation or perhaps we are not correctly using Roon.

Our last question involves device syncing. When we both listen to the music and we had used the Eversolo app to control the playlist and song playing, it syncs all the devices showing the song playing and the playlist which is playing. We were using the Mcontrol app with the Meitner which does not sync between devices so we were wondering if Roon does sync song and playlist information to our devices with the Roon app, iphone, Ipad, and computer. Using Roon, our phones are not syncing the playlist or song as to what is being played with all of our Roon capable devices, iphone Ipad or computer. Do we need to turn on setting to have it sync all the devices?

Best regards,

Eric

Hello @ej_jiber ,

Glad to hear that you’ve managed to resolve the issue with the playlists!

In the “Now Playing” bottom area, to the right of the next track button there is a queue button, you can click this to reveal the queue.

This is currently a limitation, but if you add the playlists to your TIDAL library, it should then appear in Roon (note that it may be an exact as-is, meaning songs won’t change).

Syncing now playing info across devices is a supported feature, but you have to ensure that the same zone is selected across all devices, as zones have their own queues. Can you please double-check this aspect?

Hi @ej_jiber,

This thread will auto-close without any responses, so please let us know if you’re still seeing any discrepancies with Tidal content in Roon.

Thanks!
