On my iPhone player Roon does not display albums that it has not identified. I have many albums that are not in Roon's database, mostly classical music. These albums have exquisite metadata, that I entered when I ripped a bit-perfect copy of the album. Somehow Roon doesn't display them. I look for the albums in different ways: artist, composer, genre, search in the search field at Roon's home page. None of them yield the album.
I have to go to the headless server in my home that runs Roon to find the album. Usually I select metadata preference (for Roon to prioritize the file data over Roon's data) to make sure it can be found on my iPhone player.
This is rather a disappointment. I have lots of albums that Roon doesn't know. Roon should handle these better on my server.

Hi @Kunlun,
Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue. Let us know if the problem is solved after following all of the steps in the guide @BlackJack linked you to.
Admittedly, I have not gone about trying to fix it in a structured way. I just browsed through the settings to see what made sense. Thanks for the link to this checklist. I think there may be some off-limits characters in file names - will definitely check that and the other stuff before forcing a rescan of my library.
