Roon not finding songs in search

I have just rebuilt my library. Some songs --example, walk on the wild side by Lou reed–should show up on multiple albums. yet, the search shows only one instance of it. Any thoughts?

Could you please do us a favor and complete the support template if my suggestions don’t work?

In a preliminary search of your diagnostics it looks like you might benefit from a library cleanup under Roon>Settings>Library. Your databases likely have references to the old locations prior to your rebuild.

You might also make sure your focus is cleared:

Roon Core Machine

Include your operating system and machine info (Model, CPU, RAM).

Networking Gear & Setup Details

Your networking gear (model of routers/switches/etc), connection types (Wifi/Ethernet), and any firewalls, antivirus, or VPN software.

Connected Audio Devices

Specify what devices you’re using and their connection types, like USB/HDMI/Chromecast, etc.

Number of Tracks in Library

Tell us how large your music library is, eg. “30,000 tracks”.

Using an iMac connected via ethernet as my main “head”, with a blue sound node for use in other room.

Roon not finding all instances of a song. EG, Walk on the Wild Side should show up in 3 places; it’s only showing in 2.

Hi @Peter_Rustin,

Why are you expecting to see three versions? Are these in your library or Tidal/Qobuz? Can you verify that Settings>Storage is pointing to the right location to find these?

Because I know that there are 3 versions of this in my library–one on Transformer; one on New York and one on a compilation. All are in my local library and settings>storage is pointing to the only storage I have: an external HDD attached to my ROCK.
