· Roon doesn't open on the laptop, tried reinstalling with same result. Works fine on my mobile phone. The nucleus is on a seperate computer and is working well.
Welcome to the community! Since Roon works fine on your mobile and Nucleus, it confirms your core is healthy. The issue is localized to your Windows laptop environment.
Following our recent 2.65 update, Roon has migrated to a newer foundation (.NET10) which comes with updated system requirements. It is possible your laptop is falling behind on these dependencies or the OS version itself.
Could you please provide the following details so we can pinpoint the failure:
Exact OS Version: Please go to Settings > System > About on your Windows laptop and tell us the specific version and build number of your Windows 10 Pro (e.g., Version 22H2, Build 19045.xxxx).
Verify .NET Runtime: Since the latest build relies on .NET10, please ensure you have the latest available updates installed from Windows Update.
Application Logs: Please check the Windows Event Viewer (Windows Logs > Application) for any “Error” or “Critical” entries associated with Roon.exe or RoonServer.exe at the time of the failed launch and share a screenshot of the details.
Security Software: Are you running any third-party antivirus, firewall, or security suites (e.g., Norton, McAfee, Bitdefender) that might be preventing Roon from initializing its new framework?
Once you provide these details, we can check if there’s a missing library or a known conflict blocking the new application foundation on your machine.
