Roon not opening on my iPad

I have updated to 1.6 on my iMac but the Roon app on my iPad won’t connect. i have rebooted everything including the computer…router and iPad. i have rebooted the Core also. my iPad Roon screen shows the ‘Software Update Needed’ screen with the circle endlessly spinning next to ‘Remote Core stable…checking for an update’ section…i did have a green check mack at one point but could not go from there and now just the circling circle.

fixed it…did not realize i had to ‘update’ the app itself in iTunes…YEA.!!
