Description of Issue

Roon software will not recognize the sotm player.
I can see the player on the network via ip address, but roon doesn’t see it.
I am brand new to roon and SOTM player, first time setting them up

Do you’ve activated Roon in the SOtM and connected the USB DAC to it?

Yes Roon shows active on the sotm webpage and usb is conected. Just cant gey Roon to recognize the sotm

Then disable at first (for testing) your firewall.

yes did that

Hi @Benjamin_Johnson,

Please accept my sincere apologies for the long delay you’ve endured for a staff response.

We’ve pulled diagnostics from your Core, and the SOTM 200 appears listed as a recently active endpoint. Are you still experiencing issues with this Zone not appearing in Roon?

If so, you can try a RoonServer reset to delete any cached device data. Make sure you create a backup to avoid losing Zone DSP customization, etc.

  • Make a Backup of your current RoonServer Database
  • Exit out of RoonServer
  • Navigate to your RoonServer’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RoonServer”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old”
  • Reinstall the RoonServer App from our Downloads Page to generate a new RoonServer folder
  • On the Roon Remotes, press “Use another Core” and connect to the new database

I got the sotm working, my dac was not compatible, so fixed that. I will continue exploring and upgrading, thank you !!
