Description of Issue

Roon does not release the ASIO driver. I have to manually reset the audio device. Reported in 2019 and been living with it since.

Hi @Rugby !

Can you please describe the steps that lead to the state you described above?

If Iā€™m getting it right, it should be something like :

  • Select ASIO zone
  • Play a track via it
  • Wait until playback finishes
  • Terminate Roon
  • Check if the OS can access the audio device via ASIO driver

Also, please check if the ASIO zone is marked as Private in Roon? (Right Click on the zone ā†’ Device Setup)
