Roon not supporting question mark and some other chars in file names

Roon version – 1.7 (build 537) stable
OS Version – Mac OS X 10.13.6

Description Of Issue

I added a folder of 20+ FLAC files to the Roon-controlled storage in order to get them added to my Roon library. These files were generated by XLD and had long names containing some special characters like '/?, etc. After I forced rescan all these files were added to the library except those that had ? / : in their names. I didn’t receive any error message or alert – the files just weren’t there. When I renamed the files and removed ?'s, /'s and :'s and rescanned the storage again the files got added to the library without a problem. Is it a known issue? Can I request the fix for I will have more files like this in the future. Thanks! --Alexey

Hello @Alexey_Agapov, yes it’s known - see this knowledge base link which lists those characters you shouldn’t use.
