Hello @emil_huchiu,

Thank you for the details.

On our side, we can see that the internal SSD is detected and mounted correctly on the Nucleus.

It doesn’t appear in Settings → Storage because it is already there under the pop-up menu you have shared in the screenshot.

The external USB drive is not currently being detected by the Nucleus.

Please try the following:

  • Connect the USB drive to another computer and confirm it is detected and readable
  • Check the filesystem on that computer
  • Try a different USB cable
  • Try a different USB port on the Nucleus
  • Power-cycle the Nucleus and reconnect the USB drive

The Nucleus may not appear in Windows “Network” depending on Windows network settings.
You can always access it via SMB using the IP address shown in Roon → Settings → General / About:

\\<Nucleus-IP>\

Guide:

Please let us know if the external USB drive is detected after these checks.

thank you for help, i connect the external hdd to a diffrent port (the one who was previously in use by the chord qutest dac) and now is working.
and another problem..is there a possibility to restore a database (only music information, namely metadata, history, preferences, tags without restoring Roon settings, device configuration, paths to music folders) from the roon server installed on the laptop on the roon nucleus. thank you for answer

Hi @emil_huchiu !

We’re glad it is working for you now.

Unfortunately, Roon backup can be restored only in complex with all its settings. There won’t be a way to restore it without watched folders or any other settings it has inside.

Have a nice day!

Regards.
