My Roon Nucleus One arrived today and I’m trying to find the best physical location for it in my set-up. I also have a Wiim Ultra in my media cabinet and I was wondering if it would be safe to stack my Wiim Ultra on top of my Nucelus One.

Thanks for reaching out to ask us about this question. We don’t have any official guidance on whether or not to stack the Nucleus on top of other devices. As long as the Wiim Ultra’s top plate area is bigger than the Nucleus One’s bottom plate area it should be okay. A consideration could also be heat since you say it is kept in a cabinet. The Nucleus One does have a cooling fan so keeping it in a cabinet may limit its ability to regulate temperature properly. I would also recommend asking the rest of the user community as I’m sure another user has tried a similar setup and can give you actual feedback on how it worked.
For cooling purposes, I prefer not to stack devices.
Thank you for the reply @daniel . To clarify, I want to stack the Wiim Ultra on top of the nucleus (and not the other way around as mentioned in your response).
Also, my media cabinet is more of an open stand with pretty good air circulation. I’m more worried about the weight of the Wiim Ultra pressing on the nucleus and the heat from the Wiim Ultra transferring to the nucleus.
I’ve got my WiiM Amp Pro on top of my Nucleus One, with some large rubber feet, to provide plenty of air flow. Everything is remaining cool, so far.
