I recently purchased an used Nucleus One to replace my old Nucleus Rev. B. The Nucleus One was working well for about 2 months.
Last night, the Nucleus One suddenly stopped working in the middle of music. I checked it and found the power button no longer light up at all. The power supply is normal. The Nucleus One also does not show up in the Roon app. Is this a hardware issue? Anyone had similar experience like this? Hope it’s not a hardware issue as I live in Canada. Sending Nucleus One back to Roon may be tricky at this moment.
Thanks for the report, and I’m sorry to hear your Nucleus One has stopped powering on.
Before proceeding with the RMA process, could you please try the following quick checks:
Test with another power supply of the same voltage and amperage if you have one available.
Connect the Nucleus One directly to a TV or monitor via HDMI to see if anything appears on screen when you press the power button.
If the device still shows no lights or video output, the next step would be to reach out to our RMA department, as they handle all hardware-related issues.
You can do so using the link below — select “Other” → “This issue is related to a physical component.”
But unfortunately it means that your Nucleus is broken.
If you want to proceed with the repair via Roon you might need to open a new ticket to RMA team.
For this please open another support ticket in Roon and select “I’m having a problem with my Nucleus Hardware”.
In case this is not suitable option for you then you might try to repair it at local repair store, but please note that this might void your warranty .
let us know please whether you have more questions.
