Description of Issue
Roon forced me to update the core and it never came back online
Does not appear as a device in the router
Nothing coming out of hdmi with connection to reciever
hard rebooted it several times, still nothing
power light is on, network lights flashing but nothing
also hard rebooted luxul switch
Bit of a long shot but are you using external usb for music storage? My ROCK got itself in a complete lather with this update and for some reason started trying to use my music drive as the boot drive after a hard restart. Removing the USB drive, restarting, and plugging it in after Roon then correctly came to life seemed to solve the problem.
As for the update, it didn’t apply in the end and I think I’ll avoid trying again for now!
appreciate the reply, but fundamentally the nucleus core does not appear on the network, its not a device that’s showing up in the router. its hard wired and still not showing up.
I guess at this point what’s the procedure to factory reset it, as i dont see any other option
I cannot connect to it over ip, because it doesn’t have an ip and if i can factory reset it what happens to all the music on the internal ssd.
I bought the nucleus plus because i was sick of all the hassles with using a PC, but to be honest I’ve had continues issues with using the hdmi output which was another reason for purchasing it so i could get multichannel audio in my cinema room
Sorry there was no magic bullet there…down to the suggestion from @Rugby now I think, although I note you said there was no HDMI output, which seems concerning.
My clients Roon is doing the same thing. Every time there is an update (every 2 months), i am back at my clients trying to get it working again. Usually i leave it disconnected from power for 5 or more minutes .
I also set the Roon with a static IP but obviously it didn’t work.
Today just can;t get it working. I need a phone number to talk with tech support instead of wasting more hours guessing.
