Greetings,
This might seem trivial to some however I just want to make sure I have the proper equipment when running Roon.
I’ll be using Tidal and A MacBook Air m5
And hooking it up to my router, I have a speed of 500 mbs. I plan on ripping cds to a ssd
Is there any glitches I should be aware of?
Thanks
@Paul_Longoria , what do you plan to use for your Roon Server, the M5 Air or are you contemplating purchasing a Nucleus? Have you reviewed these recommendations from Roon:
What is Roon Server? Roon Server is media server software that runs on a powerful computer, NAS, or turnkey appliance (like Nucleus or ROCK), located on the network within your home. (For more information on how it fits in with Control and Output ...
It is not clear by your post title if you will be using the Air or possibly a Nucleus, both will work. What glitches are you concerned about?
I plan on using the nucleus as the core
Not the MacBook Air I was just trying to be specific as to what I’d be using in the entire setup.
I’m trying to familiarize myself with the installation
Yes I’m going to be purchasing it soon.
Thanks

I also moved this to the Roon Software Discussion > Nucleus category so other Nucleus users may provide advice and comments.

You should be ripping cds using your mac and then transferring the already ripped cds to the roon server stoeage.
