· Roon on Mac OS 27 isn't showing in local network settings. All other apps are showing without issue. This means I cannot access any networked output devices.
Because of the early stages of development, I for one wouldn’t expect every aspect of any software - including something as rich, deep and complex as Roon - to work in every way yet.
I assume you’re referring to Privacy & Security → Local Network in MacOS settings? You don’t see Roon or any background processes (RAAT) listed there?
Please try force-closing Roon and RAAT in Activity Monitor. If the app doesn’t populate in the Local Network list, please try reinstalling RAAT itself. We recommend performing a Backup before deleting RAATServer. You can follow these instructionsto find the RAATServer folder location on MacOS. Please close Roon/RoonServer and then delete the RAATServer folder. Launching Roon again will recreate it.
Same issue for me. Always conduct a clean install of the macOS 27 developer betas, then install my apps. Roon starting and going through the setup runs fine but the fresh install does not register in settings/privacy&security/local network.
Still early days in the beta, will see if this is corrected in later builds…
We’re going to move this to Tinkering as it’s still in beta, but the team will keep an eye on this for contextual awareness. Please feel free to submit a request here if anything comes up and the team will respond here or in a new topic thread. Thanks!
