Roon pauses on non Roon-ready endpoints

I have a Krell 300i, Roon-ready integrated amp, with B&W speakers connected via Ethernet. That setup works perfectly. I also have two Apple Airports and one WiiM Airplay 2 endpoint.

Number of Tracks in Library

Library is 64,942 tracks and 5952 albums.

Description of Issue

I have used Roon for 5+ years with a lifetime subscription. I run the core on my iMac and use Roon throughout the house. I have my library on the iMac and use Tidal hifi. I have a Krell 300i, Roon-ready integrated amp, with B&W speakers. That setup works perfectly. I also have two Apple Airports and one WiiM Airplay 2 endpoint. These, non-Roon endpoints used to work fine. In recent months they often (not always) pause when playing a list. They work properly when playing a full album. What’s up? Help please?

Maybe they can’t handle a format change to something in the playlist?

It pauses. I press play and it continues. Nothing appears wrong with the track.

Can you please let us know the exact local time + date + track when you experience the next pause? We can enable logging for your account and look over the error messages that Roon displays.

Okay. I will. I’ve been mostly playing albums or radio to those endpoints so it doesn’t pause. I will let you know the next time it does.
