Roon pauses play via laptop (core)

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)
HP Probook 430 G5 Windows 10 Pro (2004 version) Intel core i5 8250. Roon 1.7 build 667.

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)
British Telecom Halo 2 router.
Laptop connected via WiFi.

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)
Naim Uniti Nova connected via WiFi network.

Description Of Issue
Music pauses intermittently but seems to coincide with other activity on the laptop such as when new email is received.

Connected via WiFi. If you can test with a wired connection your problem may well go away.

Hi @chris_yates, welcome to the Roon community!

As Henry suggested, and as we note in our Networking Guide, Ethernet is definitely preferred for your Core connection. If you can, we definitely recommend connecting via Ethernet, at least temporarily as a test.
