Roon Playback Issues On Mesh Setup

Same problem here after installing my new Nucleus + 2TB SSD + bluesound and sonos speakers. @support I tried to find the link to the solution in this threat but can’t find it…

Restarted and structures mesh differently. That makes the difference. I need 2 additional mesh points to improve my wifi

Hi @Neil_Webers,

Welcome to the forum. Since performing the reboot and mesh restructuring is the issue solved?

Thanks for checking in. Not complete. It’s doing better, but with 4 of the latest Google wifi spots (mesh test all ‘great’) I am still not able to let the 4 Bluesound speakers play all together while audio quality is tagged by Roon as ‘low quality’. The soundbar 2i and flex 2i together will do. The pulse 2i and pulse mini 2i together also move, but when I pair them all together, Roon (while using a Nucleus with internal SSD storage, currently only 29K audiofiles, no flac or lossless, mostly AAC) will give an orange message of problems loading audio file.

Hi @Neil_Webers,

If you connect all your Bluesound zones via Ethernet to the router or to an unmanaged switch immediately after the router, do you see the same issues occurring? Are all of your Bluesound zones on the latest firmware?

Hi @noris it’s getting better. But not 100%. I have approx 50% of the Bluesound devices connected by cable and the rest via WIFI. (5 Latest Google hotspots, cabled, very strong signal…) Several times per week the music loads slow (as well local from Nucleus as from Qubuz) and sometimes interrupts. Also sometimes the speakers are not in sync. Then 2 linked groups are totally out of balance. I have to restart Nucleus, group again and mostly that solves the problem. So it’s doable, but not flawless. Just FYI.

Hi @Neil_Webers,

Is there any pattern to when the music loads slowly? Do you have the latest firmware on all of your WiFi access points?

Can you let me know the exact local time + date + track and which affected devices got out of sync next time it occurs? Perhaps logs will reveal further clues.
