The same issue wasn’t fixed for me.

Have you tried changing the streaming quality in Roon for the Tidal service?

Also, if you are connected wirelessly to the endpoint you are trying to play from or to your Roon Server have your tried connecting an ethernet cable to see it it helps?

Hello @Eric_Zhang ,

Thanks for reaching out. Can you please confirm how ytour Roon Server is connected, is it via Ethernet or WiFi? Has this issue alwayus occured or did Roon work as exepcted in the past?

We have seen users have a better experience in the past if they change their Router’s DNS servers from the ISP provided ones to Cloudflare DNS, Quad9 or Google DNS. Can you please give this a try and let me know if it helps?

My Roon server is connected directly to my router, and my DNS has always been set to Google DNS. Yes, the issue where Tidal and Qobuz are slow and unable to play has been happening continuously.

After switching to a wired connection, everything works fine. It seems the issue was between the wireless network and Roon. My wifi is ubnt ap 。The problem is that many of my playback endpoints aren’t wired, so they can only use Wi-Fi.

Even after switching to a wired connection, the dropouts still occur. Latest update.BTW,dns at router is 1.1.1.1

Hello @Eric_Zhang ,

Thanks for confirming. Can you please let us know the exact local time + date + track when the next issue occurs? We’ll enable diagnostics for your account to see if logs can provide further clues. Also, does this issue happen when you set a lower streaming quality under Roon Settings → Services → Edit (next to TIDAL/Qobuz) → Streaming Quality?

Hi @Eric_Zhang,

Are you relying on a consumer VPN to use Roon?

This thread is closing due to inactivity/lack of response. Please reach out in a new tech support request if you require further assistance and our team will respond promptly.

If you’re relying on a VPN to skirt georestrictions to reach Roon’s upstream services, then I recommend posting in Tinkering. Roon technical support can only provide limited assistance when the Roon environment relies on a proxy connection.
