In the Roon-created playlists listed on the Home page, I notice that some include mixes of Tidal and Qobuz source files, while others are entirely from one source. I was listening to the playlist called “Contemporary ECM”, which showed up for me as entirely Qobuz, although every track included was available also as a Tidal Master. I strongly prefer the Tidal files, and had to work through the playlist locating each track in its Master version rather than just being able to listen.
Is it possible that Roon can create a selection button allowing listeners to choose one source or the other, in situations where both sets exist for the full list? I subscribe to both and don’t know what happens when a user doesn’t have access to the chosen source used in creating the playlist.
