Roon plays from Tidal despite Qobuz being set as preferred source (ref#I851R7)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· No matter that I chose Qobuz as preferred source it always plays from tidal

Hey @Tim_Atha,

Welcome to the community, and thanks for the details.

If Roon is always choosing TIDAL even after you’ve set Qobuz as preferred, the first thing we want to check is whether both services are signed in and active on the same Roon Server, and whether Qobuz is actually enabled for the zone you’re playing to. In Roon, open Settings > Services and confirm that Qobuz is signed in and available, then open the album or track and check whether Roon is showing both source options or only TIDAL.

We’d also like to know a couple of specifics so we can narrow this down: can you provide some screenshots with examples? Are you choosing music from the main library view or from search results when this happens?

Let us know when possible!

Hi,

just noticed it today both services are signed in on the Roon server, I switched from don’t care to prefer Qobuz halfway through the morning when I first noticed the bias

I am planning to choose an album from Qobuz tomorrow and see what the server does tomorrow will do a screenshot or 2 if it continues

The quality is good but it seems odd to choose tidal more than my chosen preference

Thanks for responding

Ok software seems to have caught up with my preference settings all seems normal now and is randomly playing from both tidal and Qobuz today and even from my local library

Many thanks for your attention on this issue

All good now :+1:
