Roon Radio and Mixes playing censored tracks unexpectedly (ref#EU4LYN)

Describe the issue

I am experiencing a very frustrating issue where Roon Radio, and Roon Mixes are randomly throwing in edited versions of tracks where expletives have been silenced. This is a very jarring and makes the Roon experience feel incredibly amateurish.

Is there a setting to prevent this? Or is this a development opportunity. I am hoping it is not the latter given it would be common sense to assume that all roon users would want the original, uncensored version of a song unless they explicitly state otherwise.

Hi @MattG,
Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue. Unfortunately this is the way Roon is currently designed to work. However you can put in a Feature Suggestions and other users can vote on it. If it gets enough attention the Product team will pick it up. If you do put in a feature suggestion for this let us know. I would definitely vote for that suggestion.

Why did you tell me to open this as a support ticket then?

Also you are telling me that Roon is ‘designed’ to randomly put clean versions of songs into a radio mix as and when it feels like it?

Hey @MattG,

Just to confirm, do you have clean versions disabled under your Roon Settings>General:

Here is some additional information around streaming content preferences:

Outside of this, you’ll want to create a feature request to ‘allow the option to block/ban all ‘clean’ versions of tracks’ or the likes. Hope this helps!

Hi there, yep that option is off
