Description of Issue
So often, many times per week, i try to start Roon Radio by clicking a song and choose ‘Play Roon Radio’ from the purple-ish foldout menu and get ‘radio started’, below this ‘error, limited to local lib’ an below that ‘nothing similar found to play’ (paraphrasing somewhat)
Last this happened i picked Level 42’s song ‘Love games’. Picking another song and the radio works. Trying the L42 song persist in this error. This behaviour happens for me almost 50% of the time.
After posting, tried Tears for fears ‘everybody wants…’ and got error - repeatetly. Kim Wilde’s ‘Cambodia’ works fine however. No idea why.
Thanks for letting us know of this and for your immense patience while we got a chance to reply. We wish it would have been sooner
Could you please let us know whether TIDAL or Qobuz are enabled on your account? Would you be able to take a screenshot when you next see the error and share it with us? If you could also write down the steps you’ve taken to get to the error? Is it just one song that brings up the error?
Thx for your reply. I use Qobuz. Below a screenshot from when i start Level42 ‘Love Games’. When i start Roon Radio from the song above (Cambodia, from Kim Wilde) it does work. This is persistent behaviour.
First line is ‘Roon radio started’. Then ‘unexpected error: limited Roon radio to local library ‘. Last line ‘Roon radio: nothing similar to play!’
I already restarted my ROON NUC i7 ROCK server and reloaded the apps. I use iphone 11 pro - from which the screenshot is - and also a samsung galaxy tab pro. Both show the same persistent errors.
