Description of Issue

Roon is skipping local tracks when playing in various formats. My other local player, MusicBee, does not skip any tracks.

It is happening on my server/computer (which is wired) and on our Sonos devices which are connected via WiFi. It happens regularly.

Sometimes Roon will skip the start of the track before playing, but sometimes It will skip in the middle, near the end, or even just 10 seconds into a track.

The songs that get skipped seem random, and play fine on MusicBee.

What file formats are the skipped files?

Good question. I’ll check the next time a track is skipped. It’ll be m4a or mp3.

Hi @Christopher_Mark,

Thanks for the update! Could you please reproduce the issue and share the specific date, time and name of the track playing when the issue occurs?

Once you let me know this info, I’ll go ahead and enable diagnostics for your account so I can review the logging for clues.

If you’d rather do it yourself manually, please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader.

Thanks!
