Is there a list somewhere of devices that are actually Roon Ready (as opposed to “Roon Tested”)? I’m specifically looking for standalone powered speakers. The Roon partners page seems to be a list of everything that Roon it is compatible with on any level (including things like Sonos speakers). My understanding is that to be able to synchronize play among different devices, those devices must be Roon Ready (with support for the Roon protocol built in). I have a Roon Ready player hooked up to a stereo system and several old Sonos speakers that I’m looking to replace. Roon is able to play things on the Sonos speakers, but of course they can’t be grouped with the player (Cambridge CXNv2), and in my experience Roon can’t really synchronize the Sonos speakers with themselves very well ether.
Yes, as I said, that page lists companies that make devices that are compatible with Roon on any level, and not necessarily Roon Ready. I’m looking for a list of Roon Ready manufacturers/devices. Is there such a thing?
That is the list of manufacturers that have passed the Roon Ready/Roon Tested processes.
Click on a manufacturers tab and it’ll list the devices. Either Roon Ready or Roon Tested or both.
I don’t think you’ll find anything better than this.
