Roon Refuses to Display Track Titles From File Metadata?

I’ve got the 2-disc DGG album (released in 1984) of Karajan’s version of Mahler’s 9th, recorded live in 1982. There’s a match to this in Roon’s database, although this seems to refer to a 1994 re-release. The Roon metadata gives every track the same title: “Symphony No. 9 in D major”, whilst my file metadata gives every track a unique title (e.g. “Symphony No. 9: 1-1 : Andante comodo”).

I’ve told Roon to prefer file metadata for this album, yet it refuses to do so, and instead lists the Album title for all 30 tracks… Even when I try at the file level to get Roon to display the track title, it’s not listening to me.

Any ideas on how I can get Roon to obey me? Thanks.

Thanks for the report @Geoff_Coupe, you are right - there is a bug: in case of multi-part work Roon doesn’t show file metadata even if you set it to do so.

As a workaround, for now, you can leave this album as Unidentified.

Aha - thanks for the workaround. That helps.

@Geoff_Coupe : This is really incredible that you’ve submitted this case 1 day ago. I’m just trying to find a solution for the same album (I’ve added to Roon 4 days ago). It shows clearly the interest of a forum.
Let’s hope that Roon is going to correct it rapidly.
