Description of Issue
Hi all,
I have installed Roon Core on my Qnap TS-251A (QTS 5.0). The installation went well and after that I configured a location for the music library and started the Roon remote on my PC. The connection to the Core worked fine and I could start enjoying Roon.
The day after I started Roon again on my PC and now it can’t find the Core, see the following picture:
I then restarted the Roon core and also reinstalled it, but it does not fix the problem. Does anyone of you have an idea what the problem could be?
Hi @Benedikt thank you for bringing this to our attention. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the delayed response. We have had a influx of requests and are working to help everyone as best we can.
Please be sure to complete a full reboot of your router and Roon devices - to do this, you’ll want to power off the devices, unplug them and wait a few minutes, plug them back in and turn them on.
You mentioned that you’re using a Fritzbox 6591 - the FRITZ OS 7 update includes a feature called “Software Packet Acceleration” that can cause issues with remote connectivity. We recommend disabling this setting from the FRITZ GUI. Does this allow your remotes to connect?
We also see that you mentioned using a managed switch. We go into more detail about this here: [Networking Best Practices](https://Managed Switches). Would you be able to try changing this to an unmanaged switch? Is there any change?
