Description of Issue

Hi, I just recently subscribed to Roon again (I had it it for a couple years, a couple years ago) and am having trouble getting the remote app to work. Everything loaded to my core (My Windows 11 PC) which has all my music on it, and I am pointing it to a Wiim Pro. Works great trough the laptop.

When I downloaded the app, it opens and says “Choose Your Roon Core” and then spins looking for it forever. Both the laptop and my iPhone are on the same network and both are powered and running. The switch for remote connections is on in settings. I never had this issue the first time I had Roon and wonder if it’s something simple I am missing?

Two quick questions:

  1. Do you have firewall exceptions for roon.exe and raatserver.exe set on your W11 Core PC?

  2. Is you W11 Core PC set to “Private network” instead of “Public network”? It needs to be Private so Roon devices can see each other on your home network.

Thanks so much for your response. My network connection was set for public. Once I changed that, the remote is working perfectly. Thanks again!
