Description Of Issue
When trying to install to the latest Roon Remote on the Samsung 7" Galaxy Tablet A model SM-T280 it says that this software version is no longer compatibly with this device. I tried to install the adk file and it will not run.
Hi @Jason_Pozen
Sorry for the bad news, but this device doesn’t meet the requirements to run Roon.
As far as I was able to dig up informations about it, the SM-T280 is the only device out of the Galaxy Tab A range of products from Samsung that doesn’t meet the current OpenGL ES 3.0 requirement.

While Mac users should be unaffected, we recently became aware that on Windows it was possible to run Roon with unsupported versions of OpenGL, which was causing instability when combined with the changes in …

Hi @Jason_Pozen ,
As noted in Mike’s post that BlackJack linked to above, Roon 1.7 now requires OpenGL ES 3.0 support for Android devices. If this device does not support OpenGL ES 3.0 it cannot be used as a remote.
