Roon Remote on Samsung Tab A

I am running Roon core on an i7 with 8 Gb of memory.
I am running Windows 10

My router is provided by my internet provider. I am LAN cabled directly into the laptop running room.

USB Benchmark DAC3

My Library is around 83K tracks.

I am running Qobuz in Roon

ISSUE
I have installed the Roon Remote, downloaded it from the Play Store onto a Samsung Tab A. When I open it up it says it can’t find the Roon Core and it just keeps looking. Can you help?

When you wait for your phone to connect, does a Help button show up (after some time maybe)? Click on it and try with entering the IP-Address 255.255.255.255. This often does the trick.

Roon Remote Issues, Mine

Problem solved…embarrassed as I am I thought I would come clean. Sometimes the simplest things are the issue. I kept thinking about what could cause this. I think it did not occur to me sooner as I misconstrued processes that likely have different mechanisms. I come to Roon from JRiver MC, and used their JRemote program to access the JRiver app remotely from my listening position without issues for several years.
