· Roon Remote constantly "waiting for your Roon Server"

· Spectrum 1G service- Spectrum modem- TP Link ax1800 router 5G wifi to Ipad or Iphone for Roon controllers. TP link access point used as an extender for wifi on 2nd floor. Roon Server on Imac (2023) connected via ethernet with 800mb download speed
If you’re experiencing this issue primarily on iOS, try opening the WiFi Details page in your iOS Settings and setting the Private WiFi Address to “Fixed.” This can help prevent the iPad from starting up with a randomized MAC address, which means Roon has to rediscover it constantly.
Do you experience this connectivity problem on other remotes? What about the same machine that is hosting Roon Server?
Please also try enabling IGMP snooping and multicast forwarding in your router if those settings are available. Thank you!
Connor, thanks for the suggestions. My Ipad and my router already have the settings you suggested though. In terms of other remotes and Imac- Roon Core, I rarely use them to play Roon. But I have noticed a couple of times that when I cannot reopen Roon app on Ipad , that when I went to the Imac to reboot the Imac Roon app, that the app is working on the Imac but not the Ipad controller. If I had to guess I would say that these problems occur mostly on the Ipad, working well one minute , then no longer accessible, then maybe later back on. It’s as if the wifi was not working but when I check other apps on Ipad (eg Youtube) they are still working.
