Describe the issue

My Nucleus is connected and visible on the network but any Roon remote I use will not connect.

Describe your network setup

Router is a Luxul Epic 5 and I am using AT&T Fiber for my ISP. I have 3 access points in the house and everything else is running fine.

What happens exactly when you touch the Connect button?

It goes to the next page with the Roon symbol in the middle of the page moving like its trying to connect but just stays on that page. I have tried to disconnect and reconnect my Nucleus along with uninstalling my Roon remote from my phone and reinstalling it. Nothing.

And how long do you wait before killing the Roon client? Depending on the size and complexity of your library, it can take several minutes on first startup before everything is ready…

I have let it run for an hour before and no connect. It just started doing this over the past couple weeks. I have always been able to connect within 30 seconds.

Hi @george1,
Thanks for writing in to ask us about this issue. I activated some diagnostics on your account and I’m seeing indications that you have some database corruption going on. This article will explain a bit more about what’s going on and what you can do.

Thanks for this Daniel! I am now back up and running. Question, how does the new Nucleus One compare to my current Nucleus? Is it worth getting or should I stick with my current Nucleus?

Hi @george1,

The Nucleus One is based on more current architecture than the original Nucleus. If you pose this same question in Roon Software Discussion, users will happily provide their recommendations.

However, with corruption in your database, be sure to follow the steps presented in the guide shared above to prevent ongoing issues with your library.
