Roon Remote updated but Nucleus stuck on 2.0 version (ref#O7K91A)

Hey @John_Pluta,

Great work! It sounds like a duplicate folder snuck its way in there, and was the cause of your issues.

Are you still having problems at this point? Let us know your status and if you’re able to enjoy the music! :drum: :notes: :raised_hands:

Maybe this was answered but I am still confused. After you watched folder explanation, I looked in storage and this is what I see. Should my music be on a music fiolder on my laptop? Have I set it up wrong?

Also if I download a music track with one or more selections to my laptop, how do I get it on my Roon Nucleus? Out of all my music files on my laptop, I can’t transfer over to Nucleus the Tchaikovsky 4th Symphony and the Tchaikovsky 5th Symphony. I can play it on my laptop but if I try to copy it to my internal storage to add it to my Nucleus I get the console or file is corrupt message. I really would like to add those two selections to my Nucleus.

Hi @John_Pluta,
You can do a network share from the folder on your laptop your laptop to your Nucleus. Please check out this article for instructions on how to do that. If you have any trouble or more questions please let us know. We’re here to help!

Problem with the instructions you gave was for a MAC. I have a Windows system. I have been copying music in my music folder to the internal storage on my laptop. Everybody tells me to use dbPoweramp but that’s only for copying CD’s correct?

It’s possible that these particular files have been encoded in such a way that they can be decoded by the codec in Windows and played there, but the codec in the Nucleus cannot handle them properly.

In such cases, an application such as dBpoweramp can be used to re-encode the files so that they can be handled on the Nucleus.

dBpoweramp can be used for ripping CDs, but that’s just one of its functions - it can do much more.
