Hi @Daniel_O_Leary,

Thank you for your report and for your patience while we worked through the queue to reach your inquiry.

In response to your Sonos issues, please note that a recent Sonos firmware update has prevented Sonos Zones from playing back from Roon when connected via Sonos network. You’ll need to connect via Airplay or enable a certain Flag by starting Roon from Terminal. We describe these workarounds in detail in the main tracking thread here: Sonos - "Roon lost control of the audio device" after Sonos Update [Ticket In, See Workaround] - #55

Your symptoms otherwise resemble common security or multiple subnet issue.

  • Are you using a VPN or firewall, or have you installed a new router or other network firmware in this setup?
  • Are you using ISP-assigned DNS servers in this setup?
  • Do you have multiple subnets, additional switches/access points, or anything else worth noting in your network infrastructure?

I’d try refreshing RAATServer in the meantime:

  • Create a Backup of your current Roon database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon” and “RAATServer”
  • Rename “Roon” to “Roon_old” and “RAATServer” to “RAATServer_old”
  • Reinstall Roon from our Downloads Page

We’ll stand by for your response. Thank you!
