I believe @ged_hickman1 is correct, this does sound like repeat may be enabled for the queue. Please check the repeat control in the Now Playing queue and make sure it is set to off, not repeat one or repeat all.
If it still happens after that, let us know what zone you are playing to and whether the queue shows any repeat icon highlighted when this happens. A screenshot of the Now Playing screen would also help if it keeps recurring.
