Roon reports - Please check your internet connection

My Roon server core is installed on a Windows 10 PC and usually only starts up when listening to music.

In the past week, when I log in to Roon, I have been prompted with “online”. I tried again and successfully logged in, but in the following days, I was not so lucky.

No matter how many times I tried again, I was unable to log in.

Then, I installed 1259 from the official website and returned to log in to my account again. A network error occurred:

Please check your internet connection

No matter how I tried, I was unable to log in to Roon, but at this time, there were no issues with my network access, web browsing, downloading, and other apps listening to music online were all normal.

Even, visit the website:“ Your Account ”Logging in with an account is also normal. Do others have the same problem?

I request help.

Recently, there have been no new apps installed in the system, and firewall and DNS issues have been ruled out. Another strange phenomenon is that occasionally there is a successful login.

This PC switches to another system, Windows server2016, where there is Room 1.8 installed 2 years ago, and logs in to the client. The operation was successful without any network error prompts. After importing the music library and running for about half an hour, there was a prompt to upgrade. If the upgrade is not done, the connection to the Roon server will start to be frequently interrupted, and the Roon server will experience an error state.

The network is normal and the router is attempting to restart, but still unable to log in to version 1259.

Roon1.8 ignored the online prompt to log in, but encountered an error after running for a period of time and got stuck.

Unlike Roon 1.8, Roon 2.0 requires a permanent network connection, which is why a login is needed right away. If you’re using your ISP’s DNS servers, I’d try changing these to Cloudflare, i.e., 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. See if this helps.

Hi @huang_yasong ,

Apologies for the slow response here and thank you for your inquiry. I am looking over your account and I noticed that you are located in China, it is possible that the Chinese firewall is blocking your Core from accessing Roon. I do see some requests completed successfully, did you use a VPN to log in to Roon?
