Roon Rock and NUC

I use today an older NUC with windows 10 and Roon as core, it works fine. But too old version for Roon Rock and likely also use of DSP, which is my next level of exploring Roon🤓

With approx. 60.000 tracks (many in both Flac and Alac format), could I use this one, I just came across?

+Harddisk :Samsung SM951 M.2 2280 128gb SSD
+Ram : SK Hynix 2x4 gb ( 8 Gb Total )
+Cpu : Intel® Core™ i3-5010U Processor (3M Cache, 2.10 GHz)
+Grafik : Intel HD Graphics 5500

I run a 60000 track library fine on an i3 and the database won’t get anywhere near filling a 128gb SSD. I am traveling so can’t check but I would hazard it is less then 10% utilized.

This machine seems a little anemic for DSP purposes.

What clock do you have on your i3 and do you do any DSP?

Maybe a little short of puff for DSP but a i5 should be fine. I use the 7th gen i3 clocked at 2.4GHz and only do upsampling.

Yeah, better to have it and not need it than …

The difference between an i3 NUC and an i5 NUC is about $90.
