Thanks. I had actually seen that reference in th eguide. However, because the name of this file did not match the name of any of the files in the John Van Sickle site, I assumed it was just an illustrative example and not a link to the actual file.
So I should use ffmpeg-git-64bit-static.tar.xz file and not either of the files with a reference to amd64?
As for git or release – git is a bit more recent than release, but for Roon purposes it does not matter. Either will serve you just fine.
