Thanks for reaching out. When this issue happens, do you still have connectivity to the ROCK, or does it say “Searching for Roon Server” on your remotes? Can you please let us know the exact local time + date when you next observe the behavior? We’ll enable diagnostics for your account and review the logging for clues. Also, your switch - is it a managed switch or an unamanged one? What model switch and router do you have?
I can connect to roon and the switch is unamanged.

Thank you for your patience. We’d like to take a look at the full logset from RoonServer, but the machine has so far failed to response to our automatic log requests (it’s most likely offline due to the time difference).
At your convenience, please follow the directions found here and upload a compressed (.zip) set of logs to our a set of logs to our File Uploader.
We’d also like to ask you to simplify this network topology slightly for some basic variable-reduction troubleshooting. Please try bypassing the switch and hardwiring the router directly to the ROCK. If your physical space doesn’t permit you to bypass the switch, please disable any settings in the switch firmware related to jitter optimization or audio optimization. The make/model of switch you’ve shared has settings that can inadvertently interfere with RAAT’s clock sync and multicast traffic.
What do you see in the Roon UI when you experience these dropouts? Is there any popup or warning? Please share the name of a track that paused during the test above.
We’re happy to clarify any details and we’ll await the results of the A/B playback test without the network switch in place.
