It seems like Roon search does not really like the danish character Ø in searches. Trying to search for an artist named "HØK" I did not find the artist. Searching for the Album name "Ud af byen" revealed the album where the artist is spelled correctly as "HØK". I am not sure it is because of Ø in the name, but I also earlier experienced problems finding and artist and then needed to resort to finding the album name first to find the artist
Describe your network setup
I don't have technical problems as such. Ubiquity dream router. No network/streaming problems at all
Just to reiterate, Roon’s search does index content with diacritic characters like æ, ø, or å. Certain content might not populate in search results due to variation in local metadata indexing, but the team hasn’t found any evidence that this is a global search bug caused by sensitivity to Danish characters.
That said, we’re always eager to improve search, and it’s not ideal that you can’t find an artist by searching directly for their name.
Can you please elaborate if the HØK albums in your Roon library are locally stored or from a streaming service?
